Committed to better understanding and improved mental health
While I hope to provide my clients with a better understanding (or more accurately understand) anxiety, I also hope to increase my client’s understanding of how to more appropriately and effectively manage their anxiety and help overcome chronic anxiety and trauma. I want to provide my clients with a more in-depth understanding of what is happening in the brain when we experience anxiety and trauma, and how to then work with the body and brain on a neurological level to overcome the damage caused by anxiety and trauma. My work also aims to help clients decrease or prevent using maladaptive behaviors as a way to alleviate anxiety in a given moment. I address all of this in my revised book, Why On Earth Do I Feel This Way? Understanding Anxiety and Mental Health Through Control Theory.
